Reverse lights - G50 - quick help

Read plenty of the threads on the reverse lights and all the failure points.

Question is, since mine don't work at all now, when "should" they come on so I can check the wiring connections?

A). Ignition first accessory position - engine NOT running?
B). Ignition on - engine NOT running?
C). Everything on - engine running?

And yes, tranny in reverse for all of the above, haha.

Trying to troubleshoot on my own and can jack up the back wheels and put in reverse with engine running in gear if needed but prefer not too if not necessary.

Chris, it’s been a couple years but I believed there is 2 bullet prongs on the left side of the trans.
The wire harness comes over the top of the for speedo
Inside the car under the rear cover there is a 2 point spade connection that is usually disconnected with motor/trans removal. It comes through the passenger side of the tunnel.
The side reader, if removed, is open to the trans fluid.
Hope it helps
Bruce

Just checked on my 87 w/G50 and mine only come on when the Ignition is in the on position. They do not come on when the ignition is in the accessory position.

Note that they come on even if my headlights are off.

And yes, checking that bullet connector first and go from there.
