Gold-Colored Jumpers/Connectors in Fuse Box
I was looking at my fuse box this morning ('84 3.2L) and noticed that there are gold-colored connectors installed between fuses 18 and 19 and also between fuses 19 and 20 (photo attached). The owners manual shows one between 18 and 19 only (see photo).
Can someone explain the purpose of these and where they should be located? Thanks. ![]() ![]() |

One more piece of information - I discovered these connectors when I removed the wire from the top of fuse 19 that was powering an amp that no longer exists.

I believe they connect various fuses to the always-hot battery fuse - things like your security system or clock need power 24/7, but they're on separate fuses. I had an issue with my power windows being always active because on of these things was out of place (see here: 1986 Carrera battery drain).
Someone correct me if I'm wrong though! |

Jumpers were added as needed for extra fuse positions for accessories. Not every car has the same arrangement due to options.
