Is this an ignition noise filter?
I can’t find this part on my wiring diagrams. Car is 1973.5 911T with CIS. It has an SC engine in it with a WOSP alternator with internal regulator (which is why you don’t see an external regulator in the picture). It looks like a capacitor for ignition noise filtering. Who knows what it is? Can I eliminate it?

Not sure which one you are looking at, but is there not a noise reducer for the radio on some models?
