Question about Bilstien HD front struts

Purchased a set of lightly used Bilstein HD front struts. Curious if there should be a bumper stop or washer that goes between dust shield and strut housing.. here is a picture of what I have. Any help would be amazing. Cheers

If they are bilstein for the boge strut then the bump rubber is inside the shock
if all bilstein then the bump rubber must be added to the small dia piston that goes down into the strut . sometimes we cut off one dough nut to 1.5 .

just slide the dust shield onto the top of the strut
