Just Dashes in California

A friend of mine recently had his dash restored by Just Dashes in California. His dash was not a 911, regardless what he got back looks showroom new.

Their website shows before and after pictures of a few Porsche dashes.

The following link should take you to the Porsche parts they've done:

Pretty extensive work. I’m sure they are very capable. My dash is beyond repair. Pretty much looks like a Ruffles potato chip.

They do pretty good work, but it is not inexpensive by any means....

So how much, ballpark? When they were available, dashes from Porsche were $1600...

I haven’t looked at their site for years ..... very interesting how they can offer a full reproduction ie crafted from scratch.

There are a couple shops that will restore/recover heavily cracked dashes with great results (I just can't remember their names).

Yeah the two local shops I've been to both said I'm better off buying a new one and dyeing to match, but they are out of stock for 88...

Pretty sure Just Dashes will do this.

Here is an example:

http://www.justdashes.com/2015/02/porsche-911-dash-pad-restoration/

The main problem is that sometimes they cannot match the pattern in the vinyl 100%...that may or may not be an issue for you.
Again they are not cheap.
Best to call them directly, but I think they need to see the dashboard in person to give you an estimate, which makes sense
depending on how bad the dashboard is and how much work will be needed to refinish.

Just dashes did the dash and some other parts in my 914-6 and they came out looking like brand new pieces. Everything fit perfectly and one would be hard pressed to ever realize they had been restored. True that they are not cheap; but these parts that are NLA through Porsche so you have to decide how bad you want it. I think I was around $2K for several pieces including the dash.

I had a quote from them in 2018 and it was $1200 plus shipping. New dashes were same or less.
I ended up patching and re-covering my 2 crack dash in leather for ~$75.

Porsche is supplying dashes again. I don't see that Pelican has them listed but they are on the Porsche Classic Parts site. I attempted to post a link but apparently it hasn't been "approved".

Not only that, but they've also re-introduced early 944 dashes, in case there are other 944 owners here too.

There are late dashes that are still available, but in very limited color/material selections. I can't recall if there were more airbag or non-airbag though.

Find the Porsche Classic Parts Feedback form, and start entering part numbers frequently. I did that for two years for the early dashes.
