A/C clutch meltdown

So after driving a little this weekend I checked my ac compressor before topping off the refrigerant and saw a little problem. The rubber grommet has begun to melt down or devucanize. I guess it's new compressor time. Any recommendations on compressors other than what's on the site?
I should probably replace some of the lines while I'm at it...
If anyone has any links to successful projects, especially Griffiths systems, I would appreciate it.

Most likely the clutch is slipping because the compressor is nearly locked up, or totally locked up and it has reached end of life.

A great source of the AC parts to fix everything is Griffith's. Just Google Griffith's Porsche AC and you will find his web page. Charlie is a great source for the top quality parts.

Griff's in my 88 911 since 2008. Works perfectly and ice cold in the brutal summers of Alabama. Quality parts and assistance from Charlie.

Just replaced my whole system with Griffiths. I do have my old compressor. Clutch still worked on it, you can have it for shipping. Not sure how good the compressor is as it is original.

Awesome, did you add a complete kit and how long did it take as well?
Thanks again for all the help!

Complete kit: four new condensers (tail, nose, 2xLR Wheel Well), compressor, hoses, expansion valve, variable speed fan, pressure switch, hurricane fan, vent below the ashtray. Dealer installed in a couple of days. About $5k parts and labor. Best money spent on my car in 2008.
