How to get this apart?
What’s the trick for disassembling this?
The fitting is evidently attached to a tube that goes through the tunnel, so I’ll need to hold the fitting while removing the line, bit there’s not enough room to get a wrench on the fitting to hold it. Any thoughts? |

Needs a flare wrench (or a crows foot flare wrench) on the right side (nut) and perhaps a vice-grip on the fitting side to hold that firm. Clean the black coating off the nut. Also note the retaining spring at the base of the fitting, at the bulkhead; that is there for some reason.

Grab the 90 degree fitting with vice grips and put the proper flare fitting wrench on the other. You’ll have to clean the chipgaurd off the nut so the wrench will fit. Don’t use a regular or adjustable wrench or you’ll strip it and have bigger problems.

You must be able to get a spanner on the square section to hold it whilst undoing the pipe union, or am I missing something?
