993 Cab Top Slamming

Posted this on the 993 forum but go no takers so posting here for additional visibility.

Bought my 1995 993 Cab last winter. Done lots of routine maintenance to it since then and its running great.

One issue that annoys me is that when the cab top is closed it drops hard onto the front windshield crossbar. I mean it freefalls from at least a foot above if I forget to catch it with my hand as it comes down. It hits hard enough for me to think it will eventually break something.

While searching for a fix I have read its a common issue but have not seen a fix.

Does the Bentley Service manual for 993 have a chapter on Cab top adjustment?
