In case anyone is reading this in the future, this:

Yes, you are right, your car does NOT have aluminum trim. It is chrome plated steel.

is not correct. I have a '75 with shiny window frames which I had deanodised, polished and reanodised. It is alloy (they weigh nothing). On a targa, the vent window bit is chrome plated brass, I think.

The headlights and mirror are chrome. The rear quarter window could be either (mine needed no work). The windscreen and door window frames are alloy.
