CIS Explained (nice link)
Hi!
Just thought I'd share a good website I found explaining CIS. I went into it knowing virtually nothing about my CIS system and now I have a decent understanding of how things work. http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/k_jetronic.htm

Kris,
Thanks, good "generic" CIS site. I'm always looking for more info on the "dreaded CIS system". I have an intermittent cold and warm start problem that is driving me nuts and one of these days I will fix it once and for all.

Yep. I've got some problems as well that I'm trying to figure out... It helps explain things a lot... Wish I was back in SE Mich, I could help you out. Just moved out west from Ann Arbor last year.

Kris.
You're very lucky! My wife and I moved back here 11 years ago when I left the military (Desert Storm) and came back "home" because our families live here. Unfortunately, beside the bad weather from December through March, not too many Porsche shops or mechanics here. Ann Arbor is "better" in that regard to most other areas in Michigan, but being in SE Michigan is not conducive to Porsche ownership.
