Another oil filter thread!

I've been getting my oil filters for all of my Porsches from our host for years and they were all Mahles and made in Austria, except the last batch which came with an orange boxes instead of the usual blue and they were made in China, I was shocked to say the least! .. do that means that Austrian made oil filters has dried out? or are we able to get them if we ask for them? .. I've been using Austiran Mahle for as way back as my first Porsche, and now I just can't convince myself to go to a different rout.

Ordered Mahle OC54 filters from Rock Auto. Their photo shows a made in Austria filter but made in PRC was delivered. I returned them.

Too bad about Mahle, everyone must be stocking up on Mann filters. Out of stock at Pelican.

Anyone ever hear of or try a Baldwin BT292 filter?

Baldwin is a well made, high quality filter. Been using them in my Porsche, Ferrari and toyota for years.

Would be nice to have data comparing Austrian made Mahle vs those from China, vs Mann, K&N, etc.
