3.2 combo gauge on a 2.7
The title pretty much says it all. Can a combo gauge (oil temperature and pressure) from a 3.2 liter Carrera be used with a 2.7 liter engine?
Thanks, Don |

The 3.2 pressure sender is 0-5bar and (I think) the 2.7 sender is 0-10 bar so the 3.2 gauge will read low. A friend just went through this with his Carrera 3.0. Maybe he'll chime in....

I think the 2.7's had the numerical temp gauges, while the 3.2's had the white tick marks only. Well, the numbers were microscopic and totally hidden. If the 3.2 gauge has not had the numerical upgrade done, then you will need to match temp. sensors. They cost about $20 and cannot be mixed, but must be matched to the gauge. I think this goes for the pressure sender too. I recall Marcesq had to throw a new pressure sender onto his 3.2 when it went into his '77 Targa. PM him for details.

Thanks for the replys. If I just want to "bolt in and go," what year combo gauges would I need to get for the 2.7?
Thanks again, Don |

well, it was the stock engine from '74-77, so I assume that would be your target.

![]() However, on evil-bay, there are currently 2 combo gauges for sale: one from a later year 911 Carrera and one from a 911 SC. If I can install a combo gauge from another year 911, there would be many more items I could bid on. Anyone know what years are 100% compatible? I will PM Marcesq and ask him some questions. Thanks, Don |
