82 SC flag mirror help

I'm trying to get my passenger flag mirror to work. Bench Tested the mirror and everything works as it should but won't work on the car. Tested the change over switch and that seems to be good. Tested the car plug with a test light and getting the following results..
Connected to black wire and lights up in the down position and right position
Connected to white wire and lights up in the up and down position.
Connected to the blue wire and nothing is happening in either position but hear clicking.

Can't seem to find a good wiring diagram for an 82 SC. Bentley manual isn't much help.
Any help would be appreciated. Tried finding older posts.
Thanks again.

This link gives a wiring diagram for an 84. They might be the same as yours.

electric Mirrors on a 1977 911. - pinout please - Pelican Parts Forums

I know mine (pass side only) were strange in that the up position turned mine down and the LR was backwards too.
Might still be that way too, can’t check.

Strange thing is that it works with the test light but won't with the mirror plug attached. So I assume the toggle switch is good? It's a fairly new one.

Looking at a wiring diagram I found in the forum it seems the black wire from the toggle switch goes directly to the passenger side mirror door plug which bypasses the change over switch and goes to it directly. I am getting the test light to work on that pin. The blue wire from the switch connects to the change over switch and then goes to the passenger side motor where the test light does not light up when the toggle switch is selected. Tested that switch so must be somewhere between the door blue pin and the one connected to the change over switch. I'm not getting any continuity between those wires.

The passenger side on my 83 quit working because of a break in the black wire in the drivers side door after the switch and mirror. It was right where the wire leaves the door. I was able to test it by using a piece of wire to connect from the drivers mirror to the passenger side. I recall it changes colour on the opposite side of the car but could be off on that.

When I test the black wire at the passenger door connector pin with my test light the down and right direction illuminated. It's the blue wire that's not working. I connected the negative end of the test light to a good ground and inserted the tester to the pin at the plug. Do I have a short somewhere for the blue wire?. The pin for the white wire works also up and down and clicks.

Problem solved, the black yellow wire and the blue wire were in the wrong position on the cross over switch.
