Name this green

What green is this? Looks like an early impact bumper 911. Not the best picture, it was raining at the time.

Definitely not Leaf Green.

The car is a narrow body impact bumper, so it is pre SC and with black trim, so likely late mid year (‘76-‘77). Here is a 1977 color chart and the standard color of Ascot green looks close, but a little too dark.

Could be also viper green or signal green ... colours changed over the years, todays colour tones are different to the ones in the 70ies...also not to forget, Porsche also fulfilled customers special wishes ("Sonderwunsch") - then the customer could get any colour on the car he/she wanted. The car in question looks freshly restored, this must not mean that this is an original (Porsche) colour either...

Looks like the later Olive Green (274) to me. I think only available 78-79?

I had an identical car back in the 90's.
It was a Euro '78SC "lightweight" stripped model. No power anything. Crank windows.
No sunroof. No A/C. The dash was even different due to the A/C delete option. Bought that car specifically to build what became the Red Rocket. I had no idea it was so rare.
Years later did a search on that color and found it was offered in the mid-years of 76/7 but not listed for the SC in '78. I have the color code and all that info in a file somewhere. Man I miss that car, so fun.

This is a picture from a Porsche newsroom article some years back. I think it’s the same green. It looked non metallic and yes the car was very clean and most likely restored. I still think it’s a Porsche color based on the Porsche safety car.

I think that it is Olive green. I had a friend that had a mid seventies Porsche that was a non metallic that he called Olive Green. He was a Concours participant who would have researched the color name. He is dead now, so I cannot confirm.

This is a time period correct olive green:

Here's almost complete list of all green colours for that period of time in question:
https://www.elferclassic.de/technik/farben/plack-gruen.php

I tend to say it's either fern green (273), leaf green (6830, 7710, 7777, 218) or willow green (4310 / 223 / L63K) ...

That 930 looks like Linden - I’m going to stick with original guess of Leaf green. Check out the leaf green SC Gaswerks built.

I have a leaf car, the lighting really changes the color.

It has a little more yellow/olive in it from Leaf. Comparing on two screens vs by 70E, leaf is GREENer, if that makes sense.

I found my file from years ago.
Paint code was 227, Jade Green. No idea how that color ended up on an SC but it was 100% factory stock when I bought it from the original owner. The pictures posted by the OP look much closer to actual than the picture I posted (mine looks dark). Those 2 photos of the car in the rain look very accurate to me.

This is “Olive,” not “Olive Green.”

Per the photos on Rennbow, I’m leaning toward Olive Green (if not Leaf, as the conditions in the photo and photos themselves alter the perception of color) for the color for which the OP is inquiring.
