Look at old pictures of Black Beauty I. Your car is screaming for polished paddles. They look great on any 911, but particularly good on a black one.

Maybe someone can photoshop some polished Fuchs on your car. They are dazzling.

No one even commented on my black Fuchs. Since Al Reed did his magic even the guys at the carwash tell me how nice the wheels look.

I am just wondering if polished paddles would make the car actually look older than it is??

Here's mine, Al Reed did them a few months ago. Wheels are a personal preference, everyone has different likes and dislikes.

I was very pleased how they turned out and had absolutely no regrets.

Look at Sammy's car!

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I don't think it maks the car look older.

Super sharp sammy.

I agree, Sammy's car looks very sharp. Is that silver trim around the windows or is that a reflection?

This is Al's work, Polished lip's with silver painted and clear powder coating on centers only. New black lug's, and cap's have black crests with polished highlights.
I've been told this was a factory option.
These were just done a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for the kind words, like i said I was very pleased with the results. I also realize that some people don't like the polished wheels, it's all about personal taste and no one's right or wrong.

I paid Al an extra $1 each to polish the lug nuts, mine were scratched up a bit and I think it looks better this way.

Stone, the trim around the windows was originally black but faded from over exposure to the sun etc. Since that picture was taken I painted the trim satin black again. It won't last as long as anodizing but it looks good now. I may have to re-do it every few years, no biggie.

Alright, I still have not decided, but Sammy's car is awfully inspiring. I will post the "after" pictures when it gets done.

Funny thing Jack, I just did a search and found your car a few times. Very nice, especially with the chrome trim.

I hope those sprinklers behind your car are not using reclaimed water. Real fun to wash off a black car when that crap dries.

I've got polished paddles on my 16" Fuchs, but on your black 911 I think your wheels look great the way they are. Refinish them with the black paddles..........

Just my 2 cents... all black Fuchs are about the ugliest thing a person could possibly put on his 911.

I have no idea of the origins of those ugly relics of the past...however they completely take a big chunk of the cars beauty away.

Wheels are meant to compliment the car, especially a classic....not take away from them with their plain ugliness.

I guess you have your answer from me on what to do.

You must want to go polished, those wheels don't look like they need any work.

Polished paddles look just awful, very cheap and '80's. I like the all black, or anodized stock look of early fuchs.

Just my opinion!

The longer you have the fuchs polished the more and more you will wonder if something else should be shiney like your wheels to tie the car toether. IMO. Jacks car ties in best with the chrome window trim and door handles.

FWIW, My wife would not have agreed to a 911 without polished Fuchs:

I will not give my opinion. This is too personal a choice. But here is a composite of three "treatments" in hope that it will help.
