911 SC Window Switch Wiring (around dash not switch)

Hey Everyone,

I have my engine and trans out for a rebuild, during this down time i want to refresh the interior and clean things up a bit. Part of that cleanup was removing the miles of old speaker and car alarm wiring from under the dash. i was able to remove many pounds of wiring but i think i may have removed part of the harness (that was spliced into speaker wiring) to my passenger door window switch. Im now trying to figure out the wiring path to get things connected again.

in the picture below, this plug goes directly into the lower dash, is this for the passenger window switch? or can anyone tell me the path the wiring takes from doo to door and to the main harness?

Thanks in advance. Car is a 1981 911 sc

I too have an ‘81SC. I recently rebuilt the front fresh air blower. The wiring for that is in that plug. Not sure about the window wiring though.

@RS6ER,
Thanks for the comment, that makes sense.

Does anyone else have a link or info on the window switch wiring? My driver door works, but my passenger switch does not and the passenger switch on the driver door also does not work.

Thanks

I did have to replace a switch in the driver’s door one time. Have you tried swapping the switches in the driver’s door to see if one is bad?
