911 3.2 Clutch teardown Part 2
Years ago I did the clutch in my 84 3.2. I simply cleaned the flywheel with a scotchbrite pad and I replaced the pilot bearing, pressure plate, clutch and throwout bearing. I used a standard Sachs clutch kit. Since then, I've experienced moderate shuddering when starting the car from a stand still or down shifting. Over the last couple of years I've adjusted the clutch cable a bunch of times, replaced the clutch cable, horseshoe spring. Nothing seems to help.
Last week I pulled the engine again to get the flywheel resurfaced. To save money, I've decided to reinstall all of the components I changed a couple of years ago in the hopes the flyweel was the culprit of the shuddering. But I am replacing the throwout bearing fork. Question, what surfaces get greased and with what type of grease? Previously, I greased the throwout bearing tube and contact surfaces between the fork and throwout bearing. Thanks in advance. |

You grease as you said..plus you should remove the fork shaft and lubricate it with Sachs lubricant...
Our host is selling it... [/url]
