Adjusting valves Just before TDC?

I noticed while adjusting my valves, that the most amount of slack I found was just before TDC and on the other cylinders just before the 120 degree mark rightfully.

If I continued onto TDC it tightens up a bit. I have a feeler gauge that I used and set them to on their rightful strokes. However if just before the stroke there is all this slack Im feeling, wouldn't that be a case for concern?

If the engine is in the correct position for valve adjustment, rotating the engine several degrees should not make any difference. The cam lobe should be on the "base circle" during valve adjustment.

Are you sure you are doing the valve lash adjustment at the right stroke (Z1 compression)?

sounds like you r in valve overlap for the cyl u r adjusting.
not compression stroke
