Weird fuse box jumper wire?

I’m at a loss - why would I have this jumper wire running from my fuel pump fuse ( 3 ) to my turn signal and back up light ( 8 )?

82 SC. Everything works as it should.

Thoughts?

It is actually fuse 11 supplying switched power to fuse 16 (using Porsche numbering on the factory schematics Fuse 1 is closest to the headlight) ignore the numbers on the fuse panels.
There was no internal bridge to that unused fuse position when they added the fuel pump relay in 76. So they added a jumper.

Yes - and there was some corrosion on the wire too. Not quite sure why? Failing fuel pump drawing too much amperage?

41 years of service on a jumper wire will do that too.
