Hub centric spacers and deep 6 Fuchs

Hey guys… I have a question that I’m hoping I can get help with.

Essentially, I have a 70s with Deep 6 Fuchs. I want to run a 7mm spacer up front and a 12mm (maybe 15) spacer out back. Obviously going to need longer wheel studs, but what spacer should I run? Will the elephant racing hub-centric spacer tuning kits work with the early Fuchs?

I’m worried that a hub-centric spacer won’t work on an early Fuchs (deep 6) as those cars weren’t hub centric and I *think* they had a smaller hub bore?

I think I can help a little bit. While I don't have an early wheel here, I think they are the same on the backside.

A purist would say no spacer at all and run the correct offset, which you already are.

Spacers will no doubt look better and you should have no problems as you are running thin spacers. The elephant kit comes with a 10 (hub centric) 2X 5, 2 X 2, and 2X1 spacers if I remember. Only the 10 is machined for the rear hub centric. The rest of the kit is just flat spacers. I think with 2 kits you would just not use the hub centric spacer and use a 5 and a 2 on the front and the 10 and the two 1's on the back.

The key is getting the ball lug nuts to center the wheels, so while the tire is off the ground, hand tighten in a star pattern making sure you have all the nuts snugged down before you put weight on the wheel for the final torque.

My gut tells me the hub centric spacer will still fit on and can be used, but I'm not 100% as I don't have an early hub in front of me.
