85 911 o2 sensor plug (HELP)

Hi Folks, I am in the middle of my engine service, I am having serious difficulty sourcing the o2 sensor socket (Harness side) for my 911. I sourced the very high quality single pin connector from Kroon in the Netherlands, but I have since realized that two pin socket (harness side) is broken and missing its outer half, this is the part where the rectangular two pin o2 sensor connector plugs in. I have been drawing a blank from Porsche and any of the other parts specialists, this is very annoying as I am sure it is a part that is used in many other German cars, the bosch sensor it's self has 928 part numbers on it. I have the bottom half of the socket that clips into the bracket, but not the outer half that has the serial numbers on it, the pics show the numbers on the inside that I found, but they don't bring up anything from porsche parts, I would greatly appreciate it if someone has a spare they would be willing to part with or at least look on their car for the appropriate part number.

Thanks Michael,I think the serial numbers might be under the hold down clip, I called Bosch today,as they are the only people I haven’t spoken to yet. They gave me the number for “Chief enterprises” that are their connector supplier. I have a call into them and I hope to speak with them tomorrow. I’ll let you know.

That does look kinda similar, though I don’t think it is the same thing, the one I have has the round bit that clips in the bracket.

Well, your only options may be to either:

1. Find a 911 that is wrecked and salvage the connector from there, or

2. Use a different connector...maybe update to the later Carrera 3.2 style connector?

I have been trying to find some one with a wrecked harness to salvage it from but no one wants to go and find me one, I'm sure the major dismantlers have dozens lying around in their totaled cars. I would prefer to keep it stock, the annoying thing is I'm sure there are dozens lying around

Did you call up Kroon to see if they can sell you or at least give you a lead on the connector for the O2 sensor heater wires you need? I see that they sell the full DME harness with the correct O2 sensor connector you want. Maybe they will sell you just the connector or at least tell you where they get them.

See this link at Kroon, look closely at the picture and you will see that it has the connector you want at the bottom of the photo just above the DME connector. The listing says that it uses all new parts, so they clearly have a source for that connector.

https://www.kroonwireharnesses.com/porsche-911/porsche-911-1984/dme-harness-for-porsche-carrera-32-m298-japan-o2-sensor-closed-loop-ctrl-artno-91161217306

If that does not pan out, then while you are trying to find the correct sensor I would splice in any good generic two wire connector to use so your car can run while you are looking for the correct connector. Another alternative:

If you have the pins and half of the connector cover, maybe you can find someone to 3D print the missing half of the connector?

I have called every USA dismantler and 911 specialists that I can find, Also Porsche classic in Germany, and chief enterprises Bosch's US automotive parts supplier. I still can't source this part or even find the serial number, I really would prefer to keep this as original as I can, does anyone have any ideas?
