Resistor in the front trunk
Hi all,
I apologize if this was discussed before but i could not find anything in my search so posting the question! Please refer to the attached image. To me it looks like a resistor, located left of the jack. In my car it is currently disconnected and I wonder what is the function of it so that I can restore the connection to it. It is a 1980 SC Targa (European version fitted with standard equipment for Sweden) Thanks in advance!

Wondering if there was some old aftermarket 6v accessories at one time that would necessitate the resistor in that location like fog lamps, maybe aux. heater.

Is that for an AC fan? 964s have ballast resistors like that for the front fans.

I can't find anything in the wiring diagram. Looks to be factory installed (with this protection over it). The car has no fog lights nor other accessories. But the factory specification states the car was equipped with "equipment for Sweden" (whatever that means)
Any other guesses? :-) |

Are you able to read any reference or value? Or may be ohm it and see if it is indeed a resistor. It might as well be a diode or any other dipole. It has only two terminals, right? Can't see well on the picture, but it looks like ceramic body.
