991 R taillight plates alternate source
Hi,
Need to get an alternate source for 911R tailight (plates, lenses, ...); apart from GT Racing. I have not been able to communicate with our friends from South Africa. Has anyone heard from them recently? They contacted me mid last year to let me know they were producing some plates but have gone quiet since. Hope they are all OK. Thanks, Juan

They are all well, very busy and as far as I know they did have a whack of 'R' tail lights, but they might have been sold coz I didn't get mine even though I see them on a weekly basis!!!
Don't worry, they make batches every so often mail Francois at E-mail Address(es): johnabbot@worldonline.co.za They are really a helpfull bunch and have some interesting cars like an immaculate 993 Cup for sale at about $80k - 6 months ago this would have been about $55k - such is our volatile currency Have a look at the June issue of Racecar Engineering for more info on them.

Mike, I tried TRE (email) but have not received a reply. Their website does not list them either (at least I could not find them!). Thanks to you too!

TRE just shut down for two weeks to do a bunch of work on their shop -- so they might be slow to answer before June 28th, when they re-open. But they do sell the R-style tail lights.
