Putting Recaros in G-body...help!

After searching numerous threads here and elsewhere I ask now for any help I can get...

I am trying to put some vintage Recaros into my 88 911. The seats are Recaro LS. I will post some pictures of what I have.

The facory Porsche seats have a welded on bracket or extension where the female seat belt receiver bolts up. These sliders/brackets have no such provision. I have a set of Brey Krause R-9005 brackets but they interfere with the seat. I was wondering if the seat belt could be attached at the hinge point of the Recaro seat (inside red circle) but that does not appear to be intended for that purpose.

So who has "the recipe" to make this work??

First of all, noice seats!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that one way to re-use the seatbelt receptacle for vehicles with powered seats is to use a new seat bracket that is compatible with your seat and that has a seat belt attachment point.

An example will be The Planted bracket:

https://www.plantedtechnology.com/planted-seat-bracket-porsche-911-928-944-968-964-993-1974-1998-driver-left.html

I believe the order goes: floor - bracket - rails - seat.

The difference in weight wasn't much...something less than 10 lbs per seat.

I tried the one pictured below from Corbeau that I picked up at a swap meet. The vertical tab is not far enough away from the bracket to clear the plastic cover at the seatback hinge (below the recline knob). Maybe the Planted ones could work.

Try calling 425 motorsports. They are the ones that make planted brackets.

My LX recaros bolted directly to the 911 seat rails. No adapters required, the bolt pattern was identical. Maybe check this isnt the case with yours.

I think OP's original problem is the use of the existing seatbelt receptacle, and how he has no point to mount it to his Recaro seat or BK rail.

The problem is that later cars with powered seats have the seatbelt points attached directly to the seat bracket instead of to the floor like earlier cars, and those stock brackets/rails don't come apart for re-use, hence the need for a universal bracket.

Yes...that's the issue!!

Here in the UK, there is a company that makes steel side mounts with a thread ready for the factory receiver bolt. They are lower than the Recaro mounts. ~£150 back in 2013

Side Mounts.

@767Driver, like Ayles says give 425 Motorsports a call. They would know if the Planted bracket's seat belt tab will clear the side of the LX seat. I've been t their location out in Totem Lake/Kirkland a few times, and they are pretty helpful.

Recaro LS seats are bottom mount.

I was able to source the Planted brackets locally (ish!) today. The seat belt tab interferes with the plastic side cover at seat hinge.

I can't speak to those exact seats, but I've seen several people use this adapter:
https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/96452106500.htm?pn=964-521-065-00-OEM

Looks like it might be a bit wider than the BK9005s.

I once resorted to Wedge Engineering, worked out fine.

Damn, that sucks. I'll keep an eye out for other possible brackets that may fit. Another option is to have a custom tab welded onto the bracket that you'll be using, though that may not be as safe.

Another forum user installed SRDs', and bent the seat belt tab outward for it to fit

Would it help you to find/install the receptacles from a different year that mount separately on the center console?
That's what I did on my '85.

Do you have any pics of that setup?

Check it out.
This is what I used on exactly the situation you are going through.

FS: Front seat belt receiver

Did you weld it into place in your car?
