71T Koni covers for front struts

Ordered Koni rear shocks & front inserts. The inserts didn’t come with covers. Does anyone know where I can purchase Koni covers to replace the existing green covers?

Do the green covers fit? Can you paint them?

Did you have Koni struts to start out with? If not, I'm not sure the inserts fit...

They fit. The Koni insert is inside currently. Just looking to match the rears with the top dust cover.

I don't know where you're going to find them unless you find them used.

Are the rear Koni's orange or the older deep red? If orange, then I think Chevy Orange is very close. VHT makes a "Koni Shock Orange" in a spray can but I think it's hard to find.

Older deep red/orange look on the rears. Are the front strut covers Bilstein or Boge? Or a mix? I thought the black would be Boge

Hmmm....The Konis on my '75 were very much orange. I don't know what paint matches the red. I wonder if Koni would tell you if you asked them?

Thanks for the feedback. I was really hoping to get a matching set of Koni covers. My cars CoA doesn’t list the suspension so I assume it was originally Boge.

I found this old thread that mentions some paint colors - maybe that helps:

I found this number from a guy restoring a long hood on youtube.
Dupli-Color CDE1605 Engine Paint. I found it match the old paint on my Koni's

Koni Paint

The cap on the can is redder than the paint. The paint matched my old Koni Classics perfectly.

If your desire is for it to look "correct" then the cover should match the BOGE black strut regardless of the insert.

That was my next option. Finding a black dust cap to go with the black Boge strut
