3.2 running great.. LA bumps... Then horrible

Hery gang

About to dive into what has to be an electric gremlin.

Car's been running great... but when I'm driving in LA traffic if I hit any heavy bumps after some time the car starts running erratically.

If I pull over, turn the car off, then immediately on.. it's perfect... until I hit anything.

Going to get under the car and check the usual suspects (Grounds).

The ECU is a reman from SW, so hoping nothing going on there, but I will check.

Wanted to see if the brain trust had any other areas I should check.

Thanks,
Ian

Random guessing, but the first place I'd look is the connector for the CHT and the speed and ref sensors. all three should be mounted in the bracket on the left intake manifold.

Start by checking every ground on the car. Especially the ground strap from the transmission to the body. Do a search on this site for groun locations, and clean them all.

Also buy some ceramic core copper contacts bullet fuses. Replace all the fuses in the front panel, and the engine compartment on the left side under the cover.

Looks like we have some call girl spam... wow.

Didn't find a smoking gun, but one of the three connectors mentioned lost its retaining ring. So I will be headed to storage to find a replacement from a donor harness.
(It was fully seated, but the only connector /ground related anomoly)

One interesting thing, I replaced my IACV with an aftermarket one. I gave it a whack when the car was running and warmed up and it went ALLL over the place.

I misplaced my original, and after some searching, found it... put it back in and the car ran perfectly.

So well in fact that I re-tuned the AFR and idle.

Taking it out in a bit for a shake down run and an excuse to go to the gym early.

Hoping this fixes it.

Add this to your punch list as I have seen it as a problem on numerous occasions. The power wires on the positive terminal at the battery have a habit of loosening over time. The large cable terminal may be tight on the battery post, but the red power wires can loosen. Bob
