alignment specs
1988 M491 cab. Car was lowered to euro spec and aligned prior to my purchase. It sat for many years and when I got the car I replaced the struts. The car is wearing the rear tires excessively and from my measurements there is too much toe in.
The car is just street driven and stock. I am looking for the alignment specs. Does it matter that its a M491 car? I found Turbo specs, but didnt know if they are different. I am going to take it to a shop, but wanted to have some specs to go by and give to them. Thank you. |

I would find a shop that does early (1989 and earlier) 911 alignments and tell them you objective(s).
Locally I use a shop that does 911 race cars and they do an excellent job on my street driven car with occasional HPDE and Autocross use. They should include a corner balance as our cars are very sensitive to imbalances.

Where are you located. Some folks here may be able to steer you to a competent shop.

I would reach out to the nearby PCA Chapter to see who they recommend.

I reached out to the local PCA folks and almost everyone recommended Protech in Greer, SC. Worked out great. My car, especially the rear, was way out of spec. It drives fantastic now. I highly recommend Protech.

I highly recommend the Porsche tech spec book to source the values and many other things about your car. You can get it from Porsche itself, some are available on the net as well...e.g. https://rb.gy/ruaogu
