Who decided to mount these bolts right over a secret shelf of no return?

I had the chrome drivers handle break years back on my '73. I bought the TMP from Pelican, and it was poorly made.
I was fortunate that I was able to use parts from the TMP and the original to get it in good shape, but would not purchase it again if I had it to do over.

The swap went flawlessly. I apologize if I missed this in my Pelican search but on the Early 911 registry, I found a trick to swap the tumbler and I figured I'd post for anyone else who has the same problem.
Insert the key in the old tumbler, remove the flathead on the lock mechanism, leave key inserted until you insert it into the "new" handle, then you'll have a functioning key without having to set the tumbler or visit a locksmith. Takes about a minute to complete.
