I used a 1/4” drive, after going thru a few sets found that Dewalt was a good fit, they’re just thin enough to get in between rail. Added another stainless steel lock washer under the bolt for next time, just to give a little extra height. Doesn’t interfere with slider motion.

I wasn’t impressed with using socket head bolts and thought maybe Torx would be better for removal but the original bolts with thicker washers aren’t a problem now. Thing about allen and Torx is you never know who’s going to mess up the head using either the wrong size or tool SAE vs MM.

Also found socket head cap bolts at the local Ace Hardware, availability at Menards too, but their stock is always so messy and mixed up by guys that forget their reading glasses - which is also why socket head caps get stripped !

900075005702 M6x16 Hexagon-head bolt

Socket head collects dirt and debris which might need cleaning out for the allen to seat, sits higher too. Not a fan of them here.

The low profile wrench worked great - my seat blocked the upper portion of the nut head, and I also had Craftsman sockets which fit.

The low profile wrench, a delightful addition to the toolbox for the 911, works great with my cheapo 1/4" 10mm socket. Thanks for the link. The OEM M6x16 hex head is grade 8.8 and the torque on them was probably 10 ftlbs or less given how easily each turned.
