Sorry I didn't read the bb until today. I'll bring some coils and
permatune. I get off work at 9:00pm, starts at 12:30. Either before
or after work, or this Saturday.

Hi Big Al, OK the installation went fine.. but I still had no spark...
I'm throwing the towel..She's going in next Monday..

I know this probably sounds dumb but have you checked the points on the distributor I had a problem with points getting stuck together replaced them and the car ran fine

Take the old coil off and shake it... is there liquid inside?
Look for seepage under the coil cap. It may be dead.
Also, if you're running CIS with a Bosch CD unit (is it humming) don't put an aftermarket NAPA special coil on there... it is not the same thing. The Bosch coil is actually called a voltage generator.

I'm there with you buddy...
I tell you... I think it has something to do with the tectonic plates or the alignment of the planets, but it sure seems like this is a popular problem lately.
