CV joint c-clip
Does anyone know of a tool to get the c-clip off the tranny side side of the rear axel that keeps the CV joint on the axel? Bugger has no ears to use a normal tool. I am replacing the CV boot.

If it has no ears (internal or external) then it may actually be an E clip.
In which case a screwdiver slipped into the gaps will work. Alan

Suspect you need to use Flat Snap Ring Pliers

Thanks. It has tapered ends and that's it. Dueling screwdrivers is seriously frustrating so I hope the tool works.

Those pliers should expand it a bit and let you insert a pick underneath the clip to ... destroy it. You will need replacement clip, or a circlip with ears.
