can anyone share a 1979 stock clean fuse box photo

I've been trying to clean up the wires on my car. After market alarm was installed in stone age.

Could you share your clean fuse box, hopefully very stock one. with the wires around the fuses? It would help me a lot to figure out what wires to remove. TIA

I've downloaded a 1980 fuse wire diagram. Do 80sc share the same 79 fuse box wiring?

My '78 wiring harness has been bastardized over the years so not much help. I'm positive it does not have the same fuse locations as later SCs though. There's two separate SC wiring diagrams in the Bentley manual.

Post a picture of your fuse block for others to better reference observe any odd connections.
I did similar on a dealer installed AC removal. Basically they tapped wire onto the 20 amp fuse.
Remove just follow that alarm wire or remnant pigtail (distinctively different) and remove, retighten.

Please see attached. there is another gray cube relay next to the black one that's not in the view of the photo. I suspect that's not a original relay either. I will post a different photo with everything in view.

Just noticed that you note that you have a 3.2- so not an SC engine (3.0). Maybe all of that wiring has to do with the engine swap?

It's the original SC engine. It was built to a 3.2

from what i've seen. the wires were mainly modified to fit the ancient alarm. it wasn't a good wiring job.

That is a mess! Must be like trying to defuse a bomb and wondering what will happen when you clip a wire. Hopefully, you are a naturally patient person.

Thanks for the positive words guys. I just cleared the alarm. It wasn't too bad. It looks like the Fog light relay was replaced to a modern cube one. I will address that.

I've ran into a turn signal issue. The turn singals continue to blink after i return the stalk to neutral position. And continue to blink even i removed fuses 2,3,4.

I need to sort out mine too. There are some broken terminals and I know things are grouped together wrong, even though everything seems to work. The fuel pump circuit is definitely not right.

I have a new/used fuse panel to replace the broken one. Fortunately my fuel tank is out, so I can comfortably sit in the opening while I redo things. I would not last long bent over the fender.

OP - you may want to exchange the fuel pump relay for a correct one (red).

i was defeated by the turn signal today.

the left and right turn signals work on the first time after ignition is turned on. once i activate the right turn signal, it remains on when the stalk returns to the neutral position. I have to turn ignition off to deactivate the turn signal. None of the fuses seem to do anything for the turn signals at all...

A little known feature is that the parking light will glow if the key is off and the turn signal is engaged, left or right. Only the parking lights on the corresponding side of the car will glow.

The turn signals are finally working... when the headlights are off. Headlights on...no blinkers. I just can't win.

Meanwhile, I cleaned up the bird nest real good. Installed remote locking. New fuse/relay penal to isolate circuits from factory harness. Much cleaner, and no altering stock wiring. There are 6 relays and 5 extra fused circuits. So far, I've used 2 relays for blue tooth amp, and fog lights(can turn on without headlights on). 1 fuse circuit for remote locking module.

Can anyone tell me what this black connector is for? They are just ground and hot.
