update to door / window, better window movement

A friend of mine was telling me he had thought his son had rebuild his SC doors with newer sissor type componets. I have never seen them and wanted to know if the conversion works well. Getting ready to rebuild my doors on a 77.

Has anyone doen this conversion?

I did the conversion but it never solved my slow window problem. All I can say is that if the glass was binding in the track before it will continue to bind with the scissor type.

There must be some lubricant that will work on 911 window tracks, I just have to look harder.

I have tried all kinds of stuff, liquid wax for bike chains etc, but it never sticks long enough. The rubber must be comming apart inside the door and catching on the window.
