What a bunch of fugin idiots!

I also take my wheels off and drive them down there in the Toyota. The tire center place put a savage looking trolley jack under the car and the unprotected metal claw rips through the underseal, plus they are also likely to crush the oil lines in the process.

I use America's Tire Company. Not sure if they are just in Cali or not. They use torque wrenches. The crazy thing is, they even knew the correct torque setting for my accord. I heard one of the guys ask another employee and later I looked it up. He was right! Man, a 93 accord? Pretty good. Plus, they have a machine (not sure what it's called) that will ballance the tires while on the car, so they take into account the hub and rotor. Pretty cool.
I have used American Tire twice and have been real happy. I stay with the car. They do not use a lift, do not use an air gun, use the soft socket I bring with me, torque properly, look up the correct air pressure, and do not scratch the wheels. They will also price match Tire Rack if you go in personally with a print out.

OK, they're on. I really like the look (now that they're on the correct wheels!).

DrewT: $599.14 out the door. $119 for the fronts, $126 for the rears, plus mounting, environmental fees, disposal fees, sales tax fees, nice weather fees...

Mike Feinstein: I actually wanted 205/50x15, but the sizes in 15 inch SO3's (and most tires) is limited. The closest I could come is the 205/55x15.

Here's some pics (for PSCHRUP);

Wow Mike they look great. I wish my wheels were in as good a shape as yours. PO made a lame attempt at touching up the paint on them. I'm researching my options on refinishing them, a couple of them have very slight curb rash. I'm looking at stripping them myself, having a body shop paint them, polishing the lips myself, & then having them clear powder coated. But I'll probable just send them to Al Reed. If Dunlop doesn't make a new batch of SP8000 in 245/50/15 soon I'll will go the same route as you with the Bridgestones. What was up with your CIS?

Hi Paul...

CIS problem was a faulty lambda relay. $25 part, so I was quite pleased. Car runs better now than before I had the problem. What a stinkin' blast this car is! I'm also surprised how well the car rides with the new tires. It's actually a lot smoother than the old rocks that were on there previously.

Getting mine tomorrow. Mine are 225/50/16 and 205/55/16. They ended up being 735.10 installed. He tells me that Mikes were less because they are 15's. Oh well.
Mike, you have a beautiful car. I really like the Weisaach edition.

I'm just south of Copenhagen. I think that's about 3 hours of driving away from Viborg. By coincidence I've just come home from a job interview at Dansk Autopart's new shop in Rødovre on Sjaelland. I can only hope that they choose me. 17 persons applied for the job, so they say. They're not going to get a more loyal and enthusiastic guy than me, but of course being a Porsche person is no guarantee for the job.

Wish me luck Oh and let me now if you visit the Copenhagen area. Then we'll go for spin in the 911.

Mikkel: Best of luck to you on the job. I wouldn't mention to anyone at Dansk that you have SSI's on your car, however...

LOL
But wouldn't his choosing SSI's speak well of his decision making abilities?

Great looking Weissachs, BTW.

Heh heh they already know. But they also know that I saved 3000 danish kroner by buying SSI instead of Dansk. At least the muffler is a Dansk.
