Porsche Toolkit Spark Plug Tool Rubber Insert Source
I've got a really nice Porsche toolkit spark plug tool for my SCs. However, something non-rubber friendly melted and destroyed the rubber insert, rendering it kind of risky to use unless you want to spend time retrieving a dropped spark plug.
Does anyone have a part number or a source for a replacement rubber insert? I've measured the rubber inserts of several standard-issue spark plug sockets and they all differ (natch) from the Porsche toolkit rubber insert. Worst case, I can machine one of these and make it work, but I suspect I'm not the only one who would like an exact replacement (FCP Euro are you reading this?). Thanks! Nix

I found a solution in an old Craftsman 5/8-inch spark plug socket. The rubber insert fits perfectly in the Porsche spark plug tool and in testing nicely retains a Bosch spark plug. Sweet!
