Enough space?!?!
Ok, so I finally figured out the rubbing sound after I installed the new wheels. The fronts are 18x8.5 and because of the offset, the insider lip of the wheel was resting against the coil. I have installed 7mm spacers and now there is no scraping. However, the space between the inside lip of the wheel and the coil is minimal. I am talking "sheets of paper" space. Is this enough space?
As I still have enough under the fender lip to add another 3mm in spacer, should I go to a 9 or 10mm spacer (and possibly longer lugs) or am I ok as is? TIA. I have a 993 C4S with HRE 540R's 18x8.5. Unfortunately, I do not know the offset and neither does HRE. Lowered with Eibach's. |

I would think that you would want to split the difference since during cornering you will experience changes in suspension geometry and such.
But I am just thinking outloud.
