Hi,
I recently bought an 80 911SC. Had some issue starting when I drove for maybe 20 mins and parked. Only to not start again but cranking. at first I thought maybe Ignition coil. But the cranks seems strong. Seems like can't be ignition coil or switch or even starter. Did some research, found Accumulator might have issues holding fuel pressure. Some might suggest, I should test fuel pressure before. Of course I would love to but I would need to buy the tool first and learn how to test it. I'd rather change accumulator and see if it works. I do not trust previous owner changing this since this car sat for a long time (a decade since he rebuilt the engine). He only changed oil. So the question is, should I buy BOSCH or URO filter? BOSCH is around $400. Which is ridiculous. While URO is around $150. Can I put in 911 Turbo BOSCH Accumulator which seems interchangeable. Just like buying some VW parts which can fit Porsche and some times Mercedes too.. Thanks.

khan, search for some of the many discussions about changing the accumulator. You car has a fitting at the bottom of the FA. Remove it and plug the hose end of the fitting. Then run the fuel pump and see if any fuel leaks out the bottom of the FA. If it does, it's bad. Post your results here.
Bosch vs. Uro: For that price difference I would go with the URO. As for other FA's from other cars, in most cases they will work becuase CIS uses very close to the same pressures on a wide range of cars. The thing I would make sure of is that the fittings in your car will screw onto the substitute FA. If you plan to own the car for a long time, just buy the CIS test gauge. You will need it eventually. A cheap but effective fuel injection gauge set is this one: https://www.amazon.com/BETOOLL-Injection-Pressure-Tester-Gauge/dp/B01L17TPT2/ref=sr_1_6?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.zjPZwuX4WbOp3ka7qY-QVmGSd2f-0ZSlMwlXR4mYlxh42g7U1vs-djf8iEfC7x_wxyBRIkvNfoK_vQ55FibiJDeqoOR1HLEh875oBt xWM9uhAZYyvFDNQt2ltbrpwqGoS4nPBaHcwXJafEaP6NhgR16w U6DhU0LR3_TKSFH9NaHr2VrfnE4tP2-Zjpg455IbACHv8yDpqb0bXHjkW09kJ-b0n7E7YEkppTTalhXQet9PkFSMByOUchHIWhBV9zLJWIppx7H9 L6J2CvCj1CwVBNF1iJYdeCv8duk6ub9FqMc.vuNc1RybMBXvzi Ig2fFiYt3sXF5rMbf5FlrqSOAfvpo&dib_tag=se&keywords=fuel%2Binjection%2Btest%2Bgauges%2Bkit&qid=1760336840&sr=8-6&th=1

Hi Khan, some recent reviews for URO 911 110 197 02 (3-fitting version):
Perfect replacement, priced right. "Fairly priced OEM quality replacement part." Works well! "I would recommend changing out your fuel filter at the same time. I also purchased a new line that connects both. Easy install. Over 100 miles since install and no issues." Perfect fit "The item was a direct replacement of the existing accumulator."

I would be fine with URO, they are not Bosch or OEM quality but they work pretty well and I have not had issue with the few parts I have used.

Yeah I bought a URO.
Bosh is quite costly.. URO was only $142 on eBay. Bit cheaper than Pelican Parts website.
