1977 porsche carrera 3.0 - spoiler question

Howdy folks! New to this forum. I just picked up this 77 porsche carrera 3.0 but I noticed at a recent coffee and cars meet up that my whale tale spoiler was way different looking than other cars similar in years.

I doubt its original but I can't find anything online as to what the spoiler is from. The seller bought it this way 40+ years ago, so no prior history. Any guidance is appreciated.

Notice how long the spoiler extends past the rear bumpers. Also the spoiler does have the porsche emblem underneath the spoiler.

Thank you!

Frank

looks like some sort of aftermarket extended version of a 930 tea tray. Not evn close to what should be there.

This is a correct '77 Carrera 3.0 whale tail

DP used to make an extended Turbo tail that used the factory rubber, but I think those also had three prominent ribs on the vents that ran front to back, and this tail lacks them.

Maybe a DP replica. I think AIR also made an extended Turbo tail.

Good point. Looks like his tail in this thread but doesn't mention who made it. DP 930 Turbo Extended Tail
