The newest versions of the kit include a slightly thicker lever tab. In addition, the mounting area is preformed to the shape of the lever for increased surface contact area.

"Has any one other then your test vehicle install this on a 901 yet?" Of the few kits sold that specifically mentioned a planned 901 application, no one has responded either way. Not sure if that's bad or good. Many positive comments on this thread are first-time remarks about the product. So, sometimes, no news is good news (?). There are a few user comments on the website as well. Let me (us) know how the Gate Shift kit and 901 combination works out for you. Sherwood |

How does this interact with an existing Weltmeister short shift kit? I have an 81SC that just had a full trans job before I bought it 9 months ago and I have been told by other guest drivers that the trans is one of the slickest shifting transmissions around. However that is relative considering the trans, so I interested in this.
So, I am wondering, if it makes a bad shifting trans shift great, does it make a great shifting trans almost perfect? |

Ya know, as a fully satisfied gate-shift user, I always want to share when ever a thread like this pops up, and it got me thinking.....
I've never seen (or heard of..) any post or rants of any *dis-satisfied* users...guys who've bought & installed it and it wasn't what they thought it it would be or didn't meet their expectations in some way.... anyway...the thought just crossed my mind....had to throw this out there... cheers!!

Don't know for sure. If the shifter has the same geometry as a 901 or 915 shifter, yes, it's possible. Can you post a pic of your current shift housing? Regards, Sherwood |
