First front end alignment.... on an SC ?!?!
My 81SC is scheduled for a 4 wheel alignment soon, and my shop told me to save some $$$, spend some time myself breaking through the coating to get to the camber bolts on the front. This is only for first time alignments. What are they talking about? I look at the top and I can see the bolts just fine (after removing strut tower brace). A quick look in the wheel wells shows just a tiny bit of dust and the factory paint.
I can't believe that my 911 hasn't ever had a camber adjustment. But it was lowered a bit lower than Euro height and now it's resulting tow is chewing up my fronts FAST. It does have newer looking turbo tie rods so I know that it has had at least a tow adjustment. |

The front camber adjustment is at the top of the struts under the hood. Those bolts should not be an issue. If you are bringing it to an alignment shop that doesn't specialize in 911's, RUN AWAY! I have had local shops do more damage than the alignment was worth, and if they are charging you hourly (as it sounds) they can easily spend a whole day learning how to align the rear.
If your car has the stock bushings for the last 22 years, you may have more issues than a simple alignment.
