3.2 no spark - driving me nuts!!!
I've been battling with my '87 3.2 Carrera
No spark at all... (well some times it runs, but it will die without any warning) What I checked so far: Replaced the distributor cap and rotor Replaced the DME-relay Replaced the coil Sparkplug wires are less than a year old I've got power at the coil I measured the flywheelsensors, they appear to be good (the good book sayz 960 Ohm +- 90, I'm measuring between 1040 and 1050 Ohms) What else can I check? Any suggestions? TIA, Jeroen |

I suspect you have a bad solder in your DME. This was the symptoms on mine and thanks to this board I found the break on one of the solder joints inside the DME on the PCB. Do a search and you'll find the details. Don't let the local Porsche dealer charge you 1600 plus installation/diagnostic for a new one.
Good Luck
