SC hard fuel injection lines - firing order Q
While pulling and cleaning my 81 SC injectors last night, I noticed the metal tubing of an injector line was almost worn through by contact on the metal edge of the blower housing. Yikes!
So I want to replace it with one from our host's catalogue. However which cylinder is this? Firing sequence is 1-6-2-4-3-5, right? My cylinder line that was rubbing was the farthest forward, driver's side line. Is this #1? Anyone order the lines that I am about to? Are they all precut, flared and bent, so I just buy and install? And lastly, anything else I should be cleaning or R&R'ing while I am in there? I am going to keep and clean my injectors and replace the injector O-rings. Should I replace the little injector sleeve O-rings or just drop in new injector sleeves (do the sleeves come with 2x O-rings?). One of the sleeves came out when I pulled on the line so I am thinking replace it all. But that is just me guessing. |

The cylinder order, if you're looking from the back of the car towards the front of the car, the cylinder order looks like this:
3 6 2 5 1 4 So, the cylinder closest to the front of the car on the driver's side is #3. I can't answer your injector questions, as I have no experience with that.

Firing order goes:
3 - 6 2 - 5 1 - 4 when facing the engine from the rear bumper. Closest one on your left is #1. Closest one on your right is #4. The one you described is #3.
