Another Sooner here but I live in Dallas. The Tulsa PCA club is very good and the past pres. of PCA lives in a South Tulsa suburb very near my parents. I did not notice what part of the state your are in but I see a LOT of 911's in Tulsa when I go home. Also the Tulsa club meets EVERY Saturday for breakfast, in fact the cafe has Porsche racing posters in the small room where they sit. I think they want them away from the rest of the customers. I don't know any names of the guys but they had some really nice cars. Hallet Raceway is about an hour west of Tulsa and the Maverick Region goes up there every October.
edit...I see now you're in OKC. I have several friends there but none drive Porsches, mostly Japanese Luxo barges.

Tulsa is a great town. I lived there for 4 years before coming back to Atlanta in 98. Lived in the Jenks area. So, I guess I'm an ex-Okie. Steve, it looks like the P-car activity will require that 100 mile drive to T-town. Honestly, I can't believe there isn't an active club in Ok City. There's a reputable used parts guy (Porsche) in Ok City...see his ads frequently (Oklahoma Foreign?). May be worth looking him up.

There is a PCA club in OKC but they only meet once a month. I havent been able to meet any of them as of yet. I know there are owners in town, when I took my car in the shop there were about 10 in the parking lot. Its nothing like living in Texas. Austin must be the Boxter capital of the world. My kids live there and every time I visit cant believe how many are on the road.

Well Steve...good news and bad. Good news is I live in Enid, have frequented OK Foreign Auto and Planet 9 Eleven (Cory replaced my heat exchangers...but that's another story), can often be found in OKC, and recently became an Okie! Bad news....I'm moving to San Antonio in 3 weeks. Look forward to the move, but leaving the Porsche resources in central OK will be tough (best kept secret).
Sorry to say, will miss those hawks doing "lazy circles in the sky".

I am sort of a wannabe Okie, my mom lives in Perkins, (south of Stillwater)
I wouldn't mind moving there, but the tech jobs market is a little soft right now, plus I would need to talk my wife into it. Tom |

Steve, I'm in OKC. I'll send you a pm.
Everyone, this weekend is the War Bonnet Region's second annual Powwow at Bob Moore Porsche in Oklahoma City. Saturday is the car show and Sunday is the autocross, everyone is invited. I thought this had already been posted, but I guess not. Here is the link in case anyone wants more information, probably too late for anyone outside of OK to attend, but... http://vista.pca.org/wb/

Steve - I live in Edmond and drive a 1983 911SC Targa when the weather is good. You can often see my car parked across from the 1st Christian Church on 2nd Street in the parking lot of the law offices at 212 E. 2nd. Be sure to attend the Porsche PowWow this Saturday (5/31) at the Porsche dealer Bob Moore. A good time is usually had by all who do.
