What an awesome run guys! I would love to have a Southern California run like that, maybe we’ll have to expand the Big Bear Run next time.
I used to spend a month every summer up in Washington visiting my Grandmother when I was young. Those pictures sure brought back some memories. I don’t ever recall seeing that many beautiful cars while I was up there though.

Thanks to everyone who came ... It was great to meet you all and I'm glad you enjoyed Day 2 as much as I did. Andrea and I just returned home after a couple of extra days unwinding at our South Sound cabin. We were still talking today about how much fun we had and what a great group of people were there in attendence. Thank you Marc for being Round-up II Organizer Supremo, while still keeping it spontaneous. A special thanks also to Glenn and Eric for their amazing "official" photographer capabilities (and letting me just relax for the weekend
). What a great trip, and what amazing weather - we are truly lucky we have roads like these in our "backyard". Thanks everyone!

Now that we're all home, it is probably safe to day this. I don't think anyone had a significant breakdown all weekend. Pretty amazing for 17 cars averaging 20 years old (Randy's and Max's cars notibly excepted).
Those photos are almost better than what I remember of the trip. Great work! Tim |

Yeah, Tim, there was so much, going by so quickly.
Well we're not done yet. . . ![]() A cool bridge out of Randle: A pit-stop, re-grouping somewhere in Oregon. Who nose: Hood & Tail; Another crest shot of Andrea's Boxster-S BTW the Boxster ad's should read: "Throws rocks fast" . . .I have a windshield to prove it. (no worries, it was well on it's way prior. . .and it was FUN! )

2540!?!?!...miles? or km.... Yikes...and I thought my 740 was large....maybe next year....maybe. Thanks to all who attended this year. I really appreciate all the positive comments. Just as last year, the people who make the trip, make the trip. Stellar weather, great roads, no (well, almost no...you are one lucky dude and I still owe you for the LDA) police presence, great service at all eating/drinking venues and zero mechanicals also help ![]() Thanks again everyone! ~Marc

Island, great pictures. I would love to have a large copy of the first picture. Tell us when the web site is up. Looks like you had a great time.

Here are some more pics from before the rally began (Glenn handing out the maps) and while at Route 30 Classics in Mosier on the Gorge. James Dean was watching over us...

Eric took this shot. (damn autofocus)
Eric and I both snapped this shoot with-in miliseconds of each other. (thru a bug splattered windshield) A 1973 special order sportomatic 911S. This car could move! We almost missed this corner. . . .or maybe Randy was just practicing threshold braking. Yeah, thats it. (nice r-gruppe SC there )

Great pics! There is still a lot of summer left. Why not have another meeting somewhere in WA or Oregon? I wouldn't mind doing that second-day run around Mt. Hood again. The blue sky and the golden fields reminded me of Arles, you know, the van Gogh paintings. Anyone up to having another run in a few weeks?

Sorry about the gravel, Glenn. I was distracted by the "Club" banging back and forth behind the passenger seat on the twisties.
I did almost miss that turn! It was me driving and for some reason it came up much faster than the day before. Must have had something to do with the SC behind me that insisted on keeping up! I'm glad you braked in time too. (You would think he would learn not to try and stay so close after the gravel incident wouldn't you?) That was fun, as was Mike staying with me after Mt. St. Helens the day before. Good thing there weren't any Caddys on that road....
