On the fuel return side at the pressure regulator (993) the brass fitting is stripped and will not seal up the line so it's leaking. The engine did start though, and everything else seems ok. I am going to get with Harald and see where he got the fitting from as one side is small (original hose and fitting from the 2.7 maybe) and the other side is larger for the 993. Any ideas?
Bring the fitting to a hydraulic hose shop and have them either pull the same fitting from stock or make one from the two necessary halves. The halves can be cut from a "normal" fitting or, if acceptable, the reuse of your stripped fitting for one side.

Take the stripped fitting with you.

Chances are they can reuse the undamaged half. They will then look in their parts for the replacement to the other (damaged) part and weld them together (if they do not have the complete part in stock).

Here in the states, I did this to make the fitting to adapat a later fuel filter to my car. Cost here was $12for the new fitting and welding it to the usable half of my fitting.

So you are finally getting into it, hm? Good job. And always do the tranny and engine together for a drop. I don't understand how someone could think up this partial drop of the engine alone.

It's painfull enough to mate the tranny with the engine while both are out of the car. I don't even want to think about it with the tranny in the car.

Today I threw in new torsion bars and adjustable spring plates into mine. 29 hollows and 21 solids. Also upgraded the front sway bar. Turbo tie rods and brackets for the rear sway bar are on its way from our host. It's finally handling a lot better. Once I get the shocks revalved and the rear torsion bar mounted it should be good for some track action.
