mfi watershields base
I've enclosed a quick picture of the base, a spec sheet on the watershields top and base, and a hose diagram for hooking up to mfi fuel system. Had to break the spec sheet and hose diagram down into two parts due to file size limitations. I've traced the bottom plate onto paper for future reference. I'm planning on installing the watershields this weekend. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1076679311.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1076679357.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1076679398.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1076679464.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1076679558.jpg

Do you guys need me to provide the studs also? |
water shields
Thanks for thephoto and the drawing of the watershields. My 2.7 RS has metal stacks and the cold start drips from the side of yhe injector. Does anyone see why I couldn't slip the base plate up from the bottom (the flare would stop it ) and silver solder it to the stacks. Good Job..... C2 |
I also would be interested.
|
I'm interested.

I actually have a test setup I'm using - I should have them going by spring for all MFI systems
Thanks for the interest! Regards, Andrew M |
Where did the spec sheet/diagram on the watershield aircleaners come from? Is that from PMO?
Also are these going to be metal, or FG or...? |
watershield spec sheet/diagram
The spec sheet/diagram shown is included in the "Triple Throat Carburetor Watershield Air Cleaner Kits" sold by our host, part number PEL-PP901526 for $155.00. The kit was designed to fit 911 engines equipped with Weber 40/46 IDA and Zenith Triple-Throat Carbs, but is adaptable for use with 911 engines equipped with mfi.

Question: I want to run '71 mag stacks on '73 tbs. Will the PMO inlets (if that's what they're called) bolt up to the stacks? If so, is the spacing the same as carbs so I can run the Weber watershield kit?
|
Bill G,
Yes, they will bolt right up. I have 70-71 mag stacks on my car and they work great. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1104330439.jpg |
Paul, thanks for the confirmation. Are the PMO inlets or horns inside of the filter?
|
Does this base plate hole pattern look like anything related to a MFI setup? If so, I have a set of Watershields with new K&N filters if anyone is interested.

Will these be steel? Or some other material like Al or carbon fiber?
|
Here is another pic with just the bases and velocity stacks.

Thread dig. Does anyone make these for a 73' 2.4E motor?
