Im building a new street car and my other car has a GHL dual in dual out with SSI`s . I want simaler sound results . Is this a good system ? What does this system cost if purchased new ? It comes with the oil lines as well. Let me know what you guy`s think .

My short, honest answer is no. Tweeks sell this whole system for $1399 and they are overpriced. The Muffler is an additional $950. Even then, the reliability of B&B has been questioned repeatedly. Especially when they are used with no warranty.

really? last I checked, performance products only had the headers for $1599.........considering he got the muffler, I'd say he made out alright. Personally, I'd rather go with the GHLs though.

I paid less for theone i got, measure and see if the inside diameter of the headers is 1-5/8, it will be loud, but you will like the headers, Kevin

I didnt pick it up yet. The seller is only 20 minutes away though. I though 1 5/8" is the standard size and 1 3/4" is the larger size ? Correct ? I figured since It comes with the prefabricated oil lines plus the muffler bracket it will save some headaches. I want it to be loud so that is good.
Kevin, did you pay less for a complete system or just the headers ?

You did ok. That's the latest reinforced version of the muffler, you get both oil lines(~$300 right there), and the hanger/straps. The headers are the 3.2 version, measure the ID, as Kevin said, 1 5/8" is a bit big for less than a 3.6 or 1 1/2" which is great for 3.2 or street 3.6

If the muffler cracks just find a local welder to repair it. Weding ss is no big deal.

Check the passenger side outlet for size. They shrank it to almost nothing to eliminate resonance. You can open it up to suit.

The headers themselves are pretty bullit proof.

Enjoy!!

The car right now has a 1971 2.2S motor that im goig to install in a different car. I will be looking for a euro varioram motor this winter. The ultimate reason for the exhaust is to have it allready when I do the 3.6 swap . That way I dont have to pay list prices due to impatience(you guys know how that is right) . If something is not correct for my application then I will just relist it on ebay and go from there.

I forgot to add that the heat can probably be adapted to a 3.6 fairly easily.

I think Kurt got a fair deal. With PerfProd 20% sale, this stuff new would be about $2000

I was only able to get $1375 combined for my stuff when I sold it hardly used. And my stuff was Jet Hot ceramic coated (a $400 value)

Plus Kurt can drive over and pick it up! That's a good savings in shipping.

It'll be kinda loud. No doubt about that.

I had to reweld my B&B muffler at the inlet and a little at the exhaust on the muffler can itself. Not a pretty job but free is free. For a while, I was driving with the exhaust essentially open past the cat. Made a fine sound.
