I use Don Jackson. He's been working on Porsches forever. Lots of people like Jack at Stuttgart.
Where's the car you are considering. Usually I'd jump in and offer to run take a look ahead of the PPI, but gas is really scarce here right now. Becks: 602-997-6572 Don Jackson: 602-997-2785 Stuttgart SW: 480-968-6764 Zuffenhausen: 480-991-2377

Lee thanks very much. THis is the item....
I hear gas is really tough to come by there, what a bummer. I have had bunch of 911's 4 of which were of the 964 models. I know the faults with them especially the early ones. My Targa is going to be my wife's daily driver and there is no way I can drive the turbo everyday. I have, with great dismay, agreed to sell one of the bikes to pay for this car. I am just looking for a clean straight daily driver and this car is priced right and is in a color I can live with. The dealer is in (602) area code I think I'll call Don Jackson in the morning. If by chance this dealership is near your travel plans and you have a moment to take a peek or a ride in it that would be gratefully appreciated. Gas is at a super premium so I understand if its a lot to ask. This guy is thinking 21k for this car and I am not sure thats as high as I want to go unless the car is really in top shape. He says that all the books and records are there. I'd love someone to go over the body with a paint meter, and look at the records. I specifically want to know if its had the flywheel changed and see if its been serviced for oil leaks.

The car looks great in the photos. Do you have their address or phone number? Like I said, if we weren't in this gas crunch I'd do it without hesitation. I'll have to see how far away it is before I offer up any of my precious petroleum! Once we find out where the dealer is maybe the closest Phoenix Pelican can take a look.
This gas shortage isn't funny any more. I went out today to meet some friends for lunch and was sure I'd find gas somewhere. Well, I drove about ten miles and probably passed ten or more stations. Three of those had gas and there was 20-40 cars waiting at those. On the way back only one station had gas and the line was half a mile long (not an exageration). My wife starts and ends her trips in Tucson. I called her and she bought three 5 gallon jugs and brought them home so we've go a bit of a reserve. Things are going to get crazy here if they don't get this fixed soon.

I second the Don Jackson tip. DJ is the best. As far as the gas situation here in Phx., I just refuse to be sucked into this crap. I have notified my customers that I will continue my work when this gouging has played out.

1/3 of our gas gets here in a pipeline from Tucson. It ruptured a few days ago and now most stations are out of gas. It could be two weeks before things get back to normal. Meanwhile prices are as high as $4/gallon.

Lee,
The place is 9828 N. Cave Creek Rd. but the guy Alex said to call first... 602 686 2260 or 602 327-3831. I totally understand if you can't make it. Just thought if its near your daily commute of something you could take a quick peek. Thanks

Cave Creek Rd. is the exact opposite end of town from where I live. I'm pretty sure that there's a couple of guys on the board who live up that way. If Mapquest is correct that dealer is 47 miles from my house!
![]() Becks has a great reputation here too. It might be easier to convince the seller to take it there. Don Jackson's shop is on the north side of down town Phoenix - north of that little star on the map, just under Glendale.

Frank is a good guy, I went to grade and high school with him. He's been working on Porsche's for as long as I've know him. He took over the shop from his dad.
