Tilton starter source?

Anybody got a good source for a new Tilton high-torque lightweight starter to fit Porsches--'83 SC, in this case? I just spent half an hour on line and can find all sorts of places that provide them for hotrods and musclecars but not Porsches. And none of the usual Porsche-parts suppliers seem to carry them. The Tilton website is no help, all it seems to do is describe their starters. (Pelican doesn't seem to carry them, at least not according to their search function.)

Somehow, it seems that it shouldn't be this hard to spend money...

Stephan

What's wrong with this one? Not sure if it is a Tilton though:
High Torque Starters
This is the ultimate in starters for your 911. Ultra light weight at only 8.1 Lbs ! With an Excess of 700 foot pounds of Torque ! This is a brand new starter so no core is required!

Right here at Pelican.

Go to "911 & Carrera Gauges and Electrical" Then "starters".

Due to the shipping cost on a Starter Core return. I suggest the High Torque All The Time. Steve

Starters and Related Components

The 911 starter is sometimes a troublesome beast. Before replacing your starter, make sure that you read the Technical Article by James K. Thorusen about Starter System Troubleshooting. If you are still having trouble turning over your 911 motor, or a high compression race engine, then try a high-torque starter motor. Core charge may apply.

Jeg's was able to find the Porsche model in their Tilton catalog - they offered it to me at 5% off list - not enough to get me to bite - but it was special order for them.
