To keep the habit of BMW being the "alternate" 911 car, I would have the car I actually own!:D BMW M Coupe!

Audi Quattro Sport . Short wheel base rally car derivative. Very few, very fast, and very collectable - and you won't see yourself coming and going, unless you look in the rear view mirror.

1972 Olds Cutlass 442 drop top. Blue, white stripes on the power humps in the hood and down the trunk lid., white top. Gotta have the rear wing.

I need to go drive my car now....

First choice, a 1967 Austin Healy BJ-8 3000 in Healey Blue with white coves:

Or some American muscle like a 1967 Camaro RS/SS:

a 1967 Pontiac GTO convertible:

or a 1969 American Motors AMX:

Given my budget, and that I just wanted a 2nd (old 30+) play car to replace it with, I would probably get an Alfa Romeo 105 GTV 2000.

Given my dream car, I would say Ferarri F40.

Daily Driver Mercedes AMG SL 55.

Hmmmm tough one....as my 911 is my weekend car...

Either a mint late 80's MB 560SL -Red with tan leather-Euro or
a XJS 12 Cylinder Jag Coupe or Cab again late 80's with some engine mods, fat tires and a fat pocketbook to keep it on the road!

motion 09-11-2003 05:41 PM

Beck 550 with a 3.0.... oh baby.

rickeolis 09-11-2003 06:09 PM

I'd probably get the Subaru WRX-STi, 300HP, 4WD, and 4 seats (kids in tow!), and about 30MGP too! Sign me up.

The 2 vehicles I have had and would again are a 1986 Honda CRX-Si, and a 2000 Ford F-150 4X4 extended cab, both have amazing power, just not quite up there with the P-car though!

Jaguar XKE or XK8
BMW 3.0CS, 2002, or 6-series
Ferrari 512, 308/328, or 246
Mazda RX7 (last version)
Ford Mustang '65/66 fastback (or GT350)
Austin-Healey 100/4 or 3000
Aston Martin DB4-5-6-7
Pantera!

Some of these assume $ = no object

dd74 09-11-2003 07:56 PM

I'd quit driving...:(

96conv 09-11-2003 09:39 PM

S2000 and hearing protectors

lateapex911 09-11-2003 10:07 PM

Well, since I sold my '67 SS/RS Camaro convertible to buy the 911, I might stil have it.

When I got my 911, I made myself promise that I would stick to it...no more trading cars as though they were girlfriends! or something like that...in any case, my promise wsa to never sell it, except to replace it with another Porsche, or a Ferrari.

The 246 Dino has alway gotten my attention, and it's from the same era. Not from the same price category, however... :(

Isabo 09-11-2003 10:10 PM

A BMW m coupe or a Morgan +8. But they'd be poor substitutes.

Tyson Schmidt 09-11-2003 10:22 PM

'69 Z28.

It is, in my opinion, the '73 Carrera RS of Chevys. That big bore, short stroke, 12.5/1 compression DZ302 is just magical.

smestas 09-11-2003 11:04 PM

Mine would have to be a '73 or '74 Alfa Romeo GTV.

or a BMW 2002 of the same vintage.
